Tea Tree Oil or Witch Hazel?
I read in a recent post about acne that some of you use either of these, that they are safe during PG. Can you recommend which one to try first? I normally use just the Proactiv repairing (zit) cream, and my skin is pretty good, but this whole pregnancy, it's been horrible, breaking out so badly and I'm not using the Proactiv on doctor's advice (I know there are conflicting reports that some Drs. say it's safe, I just didn't feel comfortable using it still).
Thanks

Witch Hazel is just Witch Hazel (like bleach or ammonia or rubbing alcohol) so it doesn't matter what brand you buy. You can go into CVS and buy the cheapest generic it's all the same.
I don't know the brand of my Tea Tree oil, I buy it in a health food store.

Oh, so you use them both? I know that Witch Hazel is an astringent, right? I thought tea tree oil was the same, that I should choose one or the other...thanks for the correct info

You can use one or the other. I sometimes just switch it up.
It's probably easier to find witch hazel... any drug store will have it.

Re: Tea Tree Oil or Witch Hazel?
I would ask your doctor about Tea Tree oil as I have read it is not recommended during pregnancy.
