DS is in kindergarten. There is just one teacher.

About how much do you spend (there is also a class gift)?

And do you buy for cluster teachers/bus driver? If so, how much?

What about the office or lunch staff?

not sure because everyone does something different and its entirely up to you:
-I don't do office or lunch staff.
-For the one teacher I'd give $25 gift card. or what is the class gift asking? I'd just do the $5-$10 collection amount for that and then give a small gift of some kind in addition to that.
-clusters i'd only gift if there is an exceptional teacher who goes above and beyond for your child
-bus driver $20-25 as well?

I LOVED J's kindergarten teacher - she was amazing. So I spent $40 on a gift (I got her a Kate Spade pencil pouch) and gave $20 for the class gift.

I do not get for any other staff in the school.

I am not a fan of his current teacher, so I am not even sure what to get her. Probably an ornament or a candle, you know what all teachers get so many of every year Chat Icon

I'm a class mom and we collected at the beginning of the year for all gifts given during the year.

I am a co-class mom with another parent, and we agreed to give TD gift cards for the teacher and the aide in the class.

I figure they get enough "stuff" and if it were me, I'd rather have the money to spend where I'd like to.

We will probably give a plant or flowers with the gift card. That's what we've done in past years.

my son is also in K. I plan on getting his teacher and the aid each a GC to somewhere- like Target, or one of those restaurant gift cards thats good at like 4 or 5 chain restaurants.... something where they can choose. probably $25 for teacher, $15 or $20 for the aid?? It depends on if the room mom sets up a collection, and how much i put in for that...
His bus drivers ( he has a different AM and PM one) i'll probably do a $10-$15 Dunkin Donuts or starbucks GC...
Im not planning on giving a gift to the other staff in the school ( specials teachers or lunch aids or anything)

I plan on giving my DS' teacher a $25 giftcard. Most likely Amex or Visa (right now CVS has no fee on Amex cards). They also do a class collection but, it's very small - I think it's $5.

My son has two different bus drivers. I'm thinking $15 giftcard to Dunkin for the am bus driver (he takes it almost every day and it's my inlaws friend and I see him stopped at DD every morning on my way to the train) and $10 for the pm bus driver (he only takes it 2-3x a week and I will probably give cash).

I give target gift cards. I feel like everyone loves target and can get something they need or want there even if it is just groceries.
