I'm not a teacher, but everyone I know is and they are all elem. school teachers and have the toughest time finding jobs. I see math teachers listed fairly often on job websites.

I would think Math would be the easiest--but at the secondary level.

It's really a gamble. Getting dual certified really helps. though.

I would say social studies is the hardest because so many of the liberal arts can be applied to certification... there are a lot of unemployed social studies teachers out there. I've been teaching ss for 13 years now. For every ss job there can be thousands of applicants.

From your list it's probably Math that's the easiest to find a job.
It's very difficult for some schools to find high school math teachers who can teach the higher level classes.

Resource room... well there aren't as many per school as there are other types of teachers.

Elementary... don't have much knowledge since I've always been 7-12

Probably Math- Resource postions are scarce because schools don't need as many as they would for a subject. There seems to be a glut of SS teachers. There might be a good number of jobs posted but there will be tons of applicants for that one job. At my school (in NYC) we always have more SS applicants than anything.
