Team green & Newborn photo shoots
So if you were/are  , and you had/are having a newborn shoot, what kind of props and outfits did you get for the baby?
I am thinking there won't be any time to get this stuff after the baby comes. So did you get girl stuff AND boy stuff, or did you get neutral stuff?
Also, can you tell me where you got your props/hats/onesies/diaper covers/etc?

With the boys, Leslie Simmons brought over all of the props to our house. She is terrific and we are going to book her again for this baby. I didn't need to have any props at all!!!!I did find some cute things on Etsy, so I may order a few  and a few  props.

Same here only I used a different photographer. I didnt have to buy a thing she brought everything to me.

most photogs have props for either sex. if you want them dressed, why not buy an out the week or 2 before for both sexes. keep the receipt and tags on so you can return the one you dont use.

i bought a cute Santa's Helper PJ set from Carters that could be for a boy or a girl.... other than that, i am going to use my photog's props.

I didn't want to waste all kinds of money on tons of props, especially considering that they have so many on hand.
We really didn't buy anything and there were some homemade hats that friends made for my shower, or brought to the hospital after the baby was born.
That, combined with the 3943094 different hats the photographer brought was enough for me! I didn't go nuts with outfits because the more outfits you have, the more you have to disturb the baby and I was worried she would walk up too much. Besides, I think the pics are so much cuter when they are just in a diaper cover and hat, or naked!

For DS (was ) I did the nursery with a sock monkey theme so I ordered from Etsy a crocheted sock monkey hat that I was going to use either way.
With #2, also , I'll use that same hat since I'm not changing the nursery and will then rely on the photog for gender specific props. Should there be an absolutely adorable hat used, I'll order one from the same vendor to have one of DC's own.
ETA: I also knit and crochet since DS is born so I'll most likely make something gender neutral too.
