Team Green Girls- Ever think you "accidentally" saw something on a sono ?
This has been bugging me since Monday (my 32 week sono) ...
When the tech put the wand on me, the baby's butt happened to be right there and w/out being totally certain I could swear I saw something  ...It wasn't her fault and for all I know what I "think" I saw was not what I saw, but its bugging me that we came this far and now I feel like I won't be suprised if the baby is what I am guessing from the sono...
I know it ain't over till the fat lady sings
(or in this case the fat lady delivers) , but being team  till the end was so important to us

I wouldn't worry about it at all.
Feet look like hands.
Hands look like a penis.
Penis looks like the umbilical cord.
Unless she's actually zooming in on something then I wouldn't worry at all

this is my worse fear!! i was like so nervous at my level 2 on wed that i was going to see something! at one point i was like oh god i saw it, its a boy! but then 5 mins later i was like oh maybe not...maybe that wasnt what i thought it was! lol
dont stress! you still dont know for sure, you are not a trained ultrasound tech so it could have been anything!
dont worry it will still be a surprise!!

Thats what DH says ( its still a suprise since it hasn't been confirmed by a doctor) and the gender doesn't matter to me in the least...
It's that we came SO far, having so much fun guessing etc. and now I feel like I won't be fully suprised unless its the opposite of what I think I saw..Then I would be flawed

I did and then I found out she was in the neck area so you never know what you are looking at even if you think you do.

I was pretty sure during the Level 2 that I didn't see anything when she was in the area, but I have no idea what I am looking for. I wouldn't worry unless you know exactly what to look for you probably didn't see it.

I wouldn't worry. You never know what it could be. Our eyes aren't trained to pick out certain things. I know its hard to think that way because I have done the same thing and then the tech tells me she is by the neck.

Yes at my level 2. From the beginning I thought I was having a boy, but since I found out the first 2 times I knew what to look for, for a boy and girl. Now, I think I may be having a girl. The tech. knew I didn't want to find out so at the end I asked if she knew what I was having and she said no. My file says I do not want to find out. I go back in 3 weeks so will see if they careful then. I was there last month for another sono and this tech was careful.

I'm not team green but I swear sometimes even when they point things out on the sono I have no idea of what it is. .
last week (at 36 weeks) they said. . look there are the lips and mouth - see? and I had NO clue. .
so I would try to go back and assume you will be surprised. . and even if you didn't see anything there's about a 50% chance you will confirm whatever it was you didn't see right?

DH and I joke around and try and take "guesses" as the tech is doing the sono.
I told him 2x that I swear I saw a penis -- but then I'm like "what the hell do I know?"
We'll only know for sure when the baby comes - so I'm not worried about seeing stuff accidentally.

We are team green this time around (found out with DD). DH is positive he will be able to tell during the Level II. He's actually worried about it. He claims he knew DD was a girl before the tech even told us. I think he didnt know he was looking at and just guessed. To be honest I have no idea whats what on the sonograms even after having tons with DD and 2 so far wth this baby until the tech or dr tells me.
I agree with someone above you said you MIGHT have just seen the umbilicial cord or something like that.

Oh yes! I DEFINITELY saw something with #1. On the way out I kept saying to DH, "You saw that, right...right?!" Yeah, we had a !
I did think I saw something this last time too...and it was a  . But who knows what I was really looking at!

i havent gotten to my level 2 yet (its feb 15th) but i am staying away from looking up pics on how to tell on the internet that way i have no idea what it should look like. i am gonna tell the tech each time i go in that we are team green and i may even not look at the screen right away when she first does the sono that way if she has to resituate away from the but area i wont see anything

As you know... I'm not team green and only 13 weeks along anyway...
Everybody, including DH, who sees my 12 week 3D sono pic, says they see boy parts. I think it's just a whole lot of cord they are seeing and maybe even the other foot. The sono tech knew I wanted to find out, but didn't even attempt to tell at that point. She did say she would do a gender check at my next appointment.
I think it is very possible you saw cord, or a foot. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You really can't be sure what it was so try to put it out of your mind for now and let the team green final stretch begin!

at my 20 week i said "oh cool look the baby is blinking"
the sono tech was like "no that's the heart"
i wouldn't really read too far into it. As PP have said things can look like other things in there.

During my 32 week sono the ultrasound tech moved the whole machine out of my view so I didn't see anything. She never even showed me any part of the baby
During my 20 week ultrasound I thought I saw nothing and DH swears he saw "something". I was bummed when I saw between the legs but luckily DH and I disagree on what we saw so its keeping the unknown for us.

Yes!! I have been "Nubsessing" since my 12 week appointment. I told the tech I was Team Green but she gave me what I feel are some clear gender shots. It also doesn't help that I have been frequently looking at Ingender.com. That site has only heightened my obsessing.
I'm trying so hard not to find out at my Level II on Feb 10th.

Yes! Just this morning we had a preliminary anatomy scan and we have a nice shot of the tush and legs. I think I can tell the sex from it, but then again I argued with DH that one of this pics showed a foot and the doc said it was actually a hand. You won't know for sure until the baby's here!
