Re: Tear Jerker?
"Because you loved me" -Celine Dion It was going to be my wedding dance song with my uncle but he passed away first.
"FreeBird"- Lynard Skynard Played at my Uncles Funeral. I sob endlessly when I hear it....
"A New Day"-Celine Dion My song to my son. I cried for years when I heard it, hoping so badly one day it would come true and now that it has, its so emotional.
"Little Wing"- Celine Dion Song about a baby that has died, it was played at my Daughters funeral.
"God Speed" -Dixie Chicks Because of my son.
"Hero" -Mariah Carey Was just a song around a lot in my family to inspire , and many who we shared it with have passed
"I cant smile without you" -Barry Manilow Reminds me of my grandmother
( and funny thing is I dont like Celine Dion too much, yet 3 of my songs are from her)

Re: Tear Jerker?
I Loved her First by Heartland
and the Tear jerker of tear jerkers for me...
Same Old Lang Syne
(Dan Fogelberg)
Met my old lover in the grocery store, The snow was falling Christmas Eve. I stole behind her in the frozen foods, And I touched her on the sleeve.
She didn't recognize the face at first, But then her eyes flew open wide. She went to hug me and she spilled her purse, And we laughed until we cried.
We took her groceries to the checkout stand, The food was totalled up and bagged. We stood there lost in our embarrassment, As the conversation dragged.
We went to have ourselves a drink or two, But couldn't find an open bar. We bought a six-pack at the liquor store, And we drank it in her car.
We drank a toast to innocence, We drank a toast to now. And tried to reach beyond the emptiness, But neither one knew how.
She said she'd married her an architect, Who kept her warm and safe and dry, She would have liked to say she loved the man, But she didn't like to lie.
I said the years had been a friend to her, And that her eyes were still as blue. But in those eyes I wasn't sure if I saw, Doubt or gratitude.
She said she saw me in the record stores, And that I must be doing well. I said the audience was heavenly, But the traveling was hell.
We drank a toast to innocence, We drank a toast to now. And tried to reach beyond the emptiness, But neither one knew how. We drank a toast to innocence, We drank a toast to time. Reliving in our eloquence, Another 'auld lang syne'......
The beer was empty and our tongues were tired, And running out of things to say. She gave a kiss to me as I got out, And I watched her drive away. Just for a moment I was back at school, And felt that old familiar pain ......... And as I turned to make my way back home, The snow turned into rain ..............
an ex who I had never really gotten over and vice versa once told me he didn't want us to look back years from now and this be us. He died 3 years ago

Re: Tear Jerker?
Gosh there are so many.
My top ones are...
This I swear - Nick Lachey (my wedding song) More than anyone - Gavin Degraw (dedicated to DH) Miracle - Celine Dion (dedicated to my sons and danced with them and daddy for my little guy's christening) A song for mama - Boyz II Men (dedicated to my grandma who I called mama, she raised me and was who I considered my mom. RIP) You are loved - Josh Groban The luckiest - Ben Folds Against all odds - Phil Collins (was "our song" with an ex and somehow it still makes me emotional) Big girls don't cry - Fergie Goodbye my lover - James Blunt In my life - Beatles Have a little faith in me - John Hiatt Now we are free - Hans Zimmer (theme from Gladiator)

Re: Tear Jerker?
"When I'm gone" by Avril. the only reason is because when I hear it I think of the video and it makes me cry because it reminds me of my grandparents (the old man in the video misses his wife). My Grandfather passed away in April and my Grandmother is living in the veterans home and cries for hom everyday

Thanks!
I wanted to mention, most songs by Chicago make me cry uncontrollably. Also, "We've only just Begun" by The Carpenters...that was my parents wedding song, (divorced 23 years ago but whose counting)
