Teenagers can be so cruel!
I work with teenagers in a group setting. One day while the kids were working on an assignment I was talking to my co worker about how it's been a few months and I havent had any success. Today, one kid was annoying me so I told him he couldnt do something. He went on to tell me that im being a ***** because I'm mad that there is something wrong with me. I said what are u talking about? He said, you can't have kids! Duh!

I worked with that age for a few years. You really have to not discuss any of that stuff when you're in the same room as them. Honestly- what he said is horrible.. but you could avoid that kind of situation in the future but keeping those convos outside of the classroom (or whatever atmosphere this is) ...
Sorry that happened though.

It's not like we were discussing details. She said. How long have you been married? I said 3 years. She said wow! When are kids coming? I said we started trying a few months ago...just hasn't happened yet.
And that was about it.

I agree with the above posters, it was not a discussion that should have happened in front of the students. Furthermore, if it were my child who had been told too bad your parents weren't barren, I'd have your job. JMHO

Im not laughing because they are troubled. I just don't know how to describe them. If I had to be completely honest, they are little jerks who are probably going not going to finish high school because drugs are cooler or because they get kicked out because they are so difficult. They believe welfare is cool and are willing to do anything to beat the system when they turn 18 bc they are laZy. However most of them don't have to worry about working because they will more than likely be in prison.
As for having my job if Someone said something like that to your kid? Doubt it because if your kid turned out like these kids, then you'd probably be just as bad as the kid. These parents are all worthless, are doing a horrible job raising their kids, all but 1 collect welfare, and the biggest concern they have is wondering why their child isn't eligible for SSI? These parents don't give a shit.
If I knew I was going to be judged so badly for posting this, I wouldn't have. I wasn't looking for sympAthy because it didn't upset me. I know I can have kids and I'd NEVER let something a kid said ruin my day. I've heard much worse.

The kid was out of line certainly. But for someone to reinforce to a child who already has issues at home where he may feel worthless that he should never have been born is inexcusable for anyone, nevermind someone who is in a position of authority.
I know how hard TTC is -DH and i tried for years before we had our DC. (yes years. 7 to be exact. I get it, trust me.) I'm sorry you are having a tough time.
