Teething and brushing teeth?
DD and I had a good little routine goin' with the toothbrush - twice a day, she'd happily open her mouth to let me brush her teeth.
Last week she started teething HARD CORE. Her mouth is clearly killing her and understandably she has been clamping her mouth shut when I come near her with the toothbrush. I still go through the motions twice a day so she knows it's important, but mostly she's just sucking the toothpaste off the brush and handing it back to me.
My question is - how bad is it for her teeth not really to be getting brushed for a period of multiple days? Are they going to rot and fall out of her head? I don't want to force her to do it because she's clearly in pain but I want to make sure her teeth are healthy.

Re: Teething and brushing teeth?
I don't know, but can say that the same thing has happened here. I was religiously brushing DS's teeth since he was 3.5 months old (that's when he got his first 2 teeth) and he never gave me a problem about it. Now, I'm lucky if I can even get the toothbrush in his mouth. I don't even use toothpaste. It's not worth it.
I did buy one of those toothbrushes that he can use (it has a handle and a curved flat platform) He will bite on that. So, I'm happy at least the plaque gets off.
