Teething for "second round" of teeth?

I thought I read that after the first teeth break through, the others don't usually bother them as much. DS has his top two and bottom two teeth, but I think he's getting more. He's a snotty, drooly mess, waking a ton, really difficult to settle and won't nap Chat Icon I seriously don't think the first teeth were this bad and I'm not totally sure this is teething again, but in hindsight last he was like this was right before his first teeth came in.

I've never heard that before. With DD#1, teething was a breeze for her.

DD#2 was a whole 'nother story. EVERY.SINGLE.TOOTH. is a disaster for her.

Currently her canines are coming in up top (bottoms broke through a few weeks ago) and she's been a holy mess.

Oooh, yeah, I agree with Amy, I've never heard that before.

DS didn't have any issue with his early teeth, but the eye teeth, those were the WORST! And he got those around 18 monthsChat Icon

I've never heard that. Will has 8 now, and the past 2 were the worst of all. Chat Icon

I read this also, but didn't seem true for us. The first two teeth WERE hard, absolutely. But all of them caused some discomfort, I think the eye teeth and molars were even worse.

I think it varies though, depends upon the child to some degree. DS did get a runny nose with many of his teeth and a fever when his molars came in.

I've never heard that. DS is a mess every time he's getting teeth. This past week all 4 molars were coming it. Needless to say it's been a long week.

I will say DD didn't get teeth until after her 1st birthday and getting teeth for her seemed like just another day. Chat Icon
