Hugs to you... I know exactly what you are going through. Honestly, when DS was teething, we would just let it run it's course. We never really gave him anything. It seemed everytime he was really teething hard core, his sleep would always get jacked up and we would have several nights in a row when our normally "wonderfully" sleeping boy would get up several times in the night and only want to sleep on us.

But within a few days, his sleeping would go back to normal. As for the drooling and snotty nose mess... just make sure you have a lot of tissues on hand! Chat Icon DS wore a lot of bibs back then too to catch all the fluids!!

Really not much you can do. You can try giving her some hylands teething tablets if she has pain. Cool teething rings etc. As for how long it lasts, every baby is different. Joey started teething at 2.5 months and today at 7 months still DOES NOT have 1 tooth, wheras my son John statred at 3 months and had his 1st tooth at 6 months.

I always gave tylenol when he was in that kind of pain. The ped said it was fine to give throughout the day!

Teething is such a nightmare and I feel for you both Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I always said, thankfully she'll never remember this pain or how miserable we both were. DD did respond to Tylenol which her ped said was okay, I just tried to save it for when she was really bad. There are 2 types of teething tablets you can try - not all kids respond to them at all

We also froze washcloths and would hold them against her gums and let DD munch away on it. My SIL had given us the mesh bags so she could munch on frozen pieces of fruit - but DD didn't like that.

HTH! and she's feeling better soon Chat Icon

Thanks ladies!! I feel sooo badly for her, the cool teething rings didn't work at first, but I'm going to try them again and see how she responds to it again...we've been massaging her gums, don't want to give her something just yet bc I have no idea how longs this is going to last as she's just turning 5 months and don't want her to get used to anything just yet KWIM....my ped actually told me to soak a washcloth in Manishevitz kosher wine and let her suck on it..ummmmm OK...not sure if anyone has done it, but dont' know how comfortable I feel with that....my ped can suggest strange things sometimes...Chat Icon
