Tell me Im not crazy...
I just booked a mini vaca to visit SIL after she has the baby in Jan.
Ill be just about 20 weeks preggo, and its just me and DS going.
Im on my own to get him, stroller, and carseat (not to mention bags- since now you have to pay to check bags ) on the plane
This should be interesting

Re: Tell me Im not crazy...
You aren't crazy!
People have always been really nice to us when we have traveled with DS. I'd check everything possible (I don't know if every airline is charing, I thought SOuthwest still wasn't) and just bring on the necessities!
When DS was 3 months old, we were flying home from Florida and DH forgot to take off his belt, so he was put in the "penalty box" and I had DS, the Bjorn, the stroller, the infant seat and 2 carry on my own and the people were really nice, set up my stroller and infant seat and let me take my time getting Christopher into the Bjorn.

Well Im flying delta, and they charge $15 for one bag and $25 for each additional.
I need the stroller so my hands will be free to carry the carseat...
Im not worried about RJ- he is usually soo good.
Im just trying to figure out how to carry everything being preggo.

Re: Tell me Im not crazy...
I would put all the stuff for you and RJ into 1 suitcase and check it. Well worth the $15 IMO. Then I'd get one of those travel bags for the carseat that you can sling over your shoulder and push RJ in the stroller. If you don't think you'll need your stroller once you get to your destination, I think the little carseat carrier posted is a good idea. They also sell something similar at BBB.

Hmmmm let's just call you brave....
Honestly though my friends have traveled with their DC alone and done fine. For me it's my anxieties about flying without DH that stop me more than anything. I'm sure RJ will do great. Miranda loves flying and has been SO good on all our trips we've taken.

How obnoxious.
OMG, I would totally bring the stroller!!! My niece is the same age as RJ and my SIL still uses it for her!!
I'd check 1 bag with all your clothes, etc. $15 is worth IMO. And get a backpack (lovely, but practical) for books, small toys, your ID, etc as a carryon so that your hands will be a little free, ya know?
