Term (and age) Limits
Sorry but if they can force people to retire at public and private companies, they can do the same for the government.
There is no reason why McConnell and Pelosi and anyone else that is over a certain age and doing nothing for this country should be allowed to continue with their jobs.
These are people who are not working for the money at their age but for the power and control and it is sad.
I have watched numerous people at my jobs get "booted out" (calling it retiring) whom you know are working to pay their bills, not just to get out of the house.

Re: Term (and age) Limits
I always wondered about term limits for senators, but the people elect them in.
I think it would be unfair to impose age limits, especially in the Senate. They represent part of the aging population and it would be ageism. To get an age limit on the President you would have to go through the Senate, so there’s that. It isn’t so much about power and control. There are people that vote them in.
I have no idea where you work, but I’m going to hazard a guess that it isn’t so important that they work for the entire population of the US.
They are booted out because it’s time to give the jobs to the next generation in order to support the aging generation. Now that life span is longer, this is pretty important.
That’s the way society works.

Re: Term (and age) Limits
Term limits I agree with, hindering someone due to nothing more than their age is discrimination and illegal as it should be.

Actually no, I don't work in a capacity like that but I have been in more than 1 job that has booted out older employees and not just to bring new ones in. Older employees made more money, have more benefits.
I do agree the problem is people continually voting these people in, like Cuomo.

Yep totally agree. Businesses do this everyday as they know their way around the discrimination.
