terrible news stories
My sister constantly reacts to terrible news stories on FB. They show up in my feed and curiosity always gets the best of me. I read the story of Baby Brianna earlier and I cannot get it out of my head now. I must have lived under a rock when it first happened but now the mother is being paroled, so it's in the news again. I'm literally sick after reading what happened to that baby. I feel like someone punched me in the stomach. I don't know why I do this to myself. I can't handle the news anymore  IDK why I'm posting about it... maybe I just need to hear I'm not the only one that can't deal with reality anymore.

YES! I was thinking the SAME THING! That horrible story about the 9 month old baby that was raped and died, and I just read a story where a 10 year old special needs boy was intentionally set on fire by two other boys... this world is sick.
ETA I also feel like I got hit in the chest with a rock

I know, its so disturbing and my curiosity cant help it. I am also pregnant so I get so emotional over it. I recently saw the superhero funeral of the precious boy who was killed in the school shooting in S.C. and the mother walking to her sons coffin, its gut wrenching its so painful

I read the most disturbing news story before. Not even The whole story, just the headline and I felt physically ill. I can't read this anymore. It's sickening.

This little baby girl, this literally made me gag. I almost threw up in my living room.
This boy, the violence. The hurt. Like who thinks let me light this kid in fire? WHO does that? It's horrifying.

The one about the 9th month old was the one I started reading  I stopped before any details came up because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it. Then the story I mentioned above came up as a related article and I couldn't stop myself from reading the whole thing. Now I'm sitting here on the verge of tears because it was the worst thing I ever read. I feel so sick over it.

I actually can't allow myself to think too hard about stuff like this. Almost like when you can't look at something head on because it's too horrifying. Same think except with thoughts.
It's like a defense mechanism to protect myself. When thoughts about things like Sandy Hook start to creep into my head it spirals downward so fast and I end up an emotional mess.
Last Saturday night when I heard the little boy in SC had died from his injuries I went in my bedroom and cried in private. I didn't want DD to see me. But I just couldn't stop

Same here, I just can't. When I read the Brianna story, I was hysterical in the bathroom. My heart broke for that little girl. And there was another one recently from WV. That special needs boy who was attacked. Beautiful beautiful beautiful children. My heart breaks for each and every innocent child.

yes these two stories. and the fireman that died in the Bronx after the gas explosion in the pot house. i'm seriously done.

agreed. PLUS the little boy in Harlem beat to death, the little boy in Newark beat to death.
Its been an absolutely fu king horrible week.

I read both the Brianna study and the boy who was burned. Yes, they are so, so sad, but they also make me incredibly angry at the people who did this. How is Brianna's mother up for parole? She should be beaten and raped every single day for the rest of her life. I don't even think she deserves the death penalty. Too easy.
And those kids who burned that little boy? Their parents should have to pay for their ****** parenting. They are failures as parents and as human beings. And the kids should be locked up for a very, very long time and be completely robbed of their childhood. 10 is old enough to know you don't set someone on fire.
The very least we can give these children is justice.

How is someone like this allowed parole? How???? How can this monster be allowed to move around the country as if she is a free person. It's disgusting that criminals that commit crimes like this are allowed parole.

terrible news stories
I JUST recently joined FB and I am so close to deactivating it because of this terrible terrible news stories. Once I read or see something, I can't get it out of my head and I get sick over it. I just saw a horrible pic of a poor child that I wish I could unsee...but I can't and now that image of the poor child is still in my head and haunts me. I hate when my FB friends post or react to stuff like this bc it really impacts me. Also when they type AMEN to something horrible and of course the pic comes up on my newsfeed and I literally want to cry when I see the pic of what they posted it.

If these kids got justice, I think I would feel a little bit better. I don't believe many of them get justice. It makes me feel so helpless. There just aren't strong enough words for what I would like to see happen to that woman. Yet she's up for parole and getting out of jail. Free to live her life like it never happened Maybe there will be some vigilante justice, karma or something... I can only hope.

Any parent who would inflict such pain and harm to a child should be sterilized so they cannot have any more children.
Men that rape children should have their balls cut off, and tested for testosterone so they cannot have a sex drive again.
They should also suffer the same fate as their victims.
Barbaric punishment for barbaric acts.
But how do you punish children that inflict harm onto other children ? Those two who burned the boy are really sick to be able to think of doing that to another human being.

The news has always been horrible but lately I feel like it's just worse. The stories about the kids always make me sick to my stomach and I can't finish reading about them. Why go into such detail? I can't!
I saw the 2 kids who lite the special needs boy on fire and thought "who raises these kids? Why do children have access to fire and know how to light things?" This little boy thought they were his friends. This story made me sick AND mad!!!!

Jail. I'm sorry, it's cruel to do to a child, especially since they aren't 16, 17 years old, but they should be locked up.

This poor baby! I cried when I read the headline (couldn't bring myself to read the story) and then it kept me up last night. I feel like a mental case internalizing these stories but these poor helpless babies.

I actually wrote the same thing on FB, who is raising these kids.

I can't get over some of these stories either, there is evil out there and its horrible.
I had nightmares after reading about what this poor girl suffered through (link below). It was her own mother who pimped her out to the men she dated for $, and was on board w/ the rape/murder of her own child. Disgusting!
