Testing Ques
At the DNC I asked to test the tissue? I was just wondering how long this takes and what I am looking for?
THANKS!

Re: Testing Ques
I am so sorry
They test for any genetic abnormalities (trisomy etc...). You should get the results at your follow up visit. Sometimes they are not able to get any results.

Re: Testing Ques
I had the testing done through Cytogenx. I actually just got the results yesterday. It took about three weeks or so. Like the PP said, they test for chromosomal, genetic abnormalities. Mine was conclusive or positive for trisomy 16. I do know that sometimes they are inconclusive.

Re: Testing Ques
Mine showed female tissue...so it was inconclusive. I got my results when I went for my follow up I think...

Re: Testing Ques
I believe I got my results about a month later. It was trisomy something (can't remember the number). They also told me it was a male. I could have done without knowing that.

I know you have mentioned this before but I just wanted to say Im sorry you had to find that out Im definitely telling my doctor before he even looks at that paper NOT to say ANYTHING about the sex. That makes it so much sadder

i'm sorry they told you that. they told us that we lost a son too which we sorta knew b/c the dr told us that the problem with our baby happens to boys 99% of the time but it was still so hard hearing it definitively
