VERY GRAPHIC: WARNING
This video is causing a stir, some saying its to graphic. Some saying it's what we need to realize just how serious txting while driving can be.

It's definitely realistic, that's for sure. And shocking. I think I'm going to send that to my 16 and 17 year old nephew and niece who are learning how to drive.

That made me  . When that poor little girl was saying "Mommy, Daddy wake up" and then they showed the baby
So very disturbing. They should show that video to every person before they are allowed to get their licence.

I think this should be showed to everyone before getting their license. Maybe as part of the 5 hr course.
Texting isn't limited to teens.
I was watching the segment on The Today show and the stories they referenced to texting while driving and accidents were all adults.
Very disturbing video. I hope it stops people from doing this. It's so dangerous. And yes, I know so is eating while driving, changing the radio while driving, talking while driving, BUT I have yet to see 1 accident on the news where someone was killed because of it.

That was so disturbing. The baby-I couldn't take it.
People should be forced to watch it, though I don't know how much of a difference it will make. People always think, "that won't happen to me".

because it is so serious!! SIL's friend was killed while texting.
I just sent this to my sister and hope that it makes a difference. I constantly yell at her for doing it and she responds "I know what I am doing" or "I can text without looking". So not the point! It makes me well up with tears just at the thought of what families go through for such and AVOIDABLE reason

Talking while driving is BAD enough...but texting!!
You CANNOT sit behind the wheel of a car while texting & be alert of everything that is going on around you on the road. So irresponsibe imo.

That was a great visual...i think if penalties for doing this were stricter people might stop it...no one seems to care about the "hands-free" law...maybe mandatory jailtime will be an incentive to obey the law?

I am NEVER texting ever again in the car, even while DH is driving!!!!!! Did u notice that the driver was NOT the one texting??? It was the girl in the passenger seat!!!!!

It was the driver...it was a British PSA, so the driver is on the other side of the car.
ETA: I HATE when I see people talking or texting while behind the wheel of their car. Even if they are at a stop light. I make sure to avoid being anywhere near these morons when I'm on the road.

You could also make a case that everyone in the car was distracted, because they were all looking at the phone. Any distraction is dangerous, when you take your eyes off the road.
