Totally worked!!! No chipping for 5 days so far!!!

i am scared to try this b/c my nails stain so easily. maybe i'll do it with sheer polish.

I tried it too and AMAZING!
A full 5 days with no chips and really the only reason I had to redo them was becuase of grow out.
Works like a charm.
Yes, 2 coats of polish on clean dry nails and a top coat.
Cheapest solution yet!

When I'm at the nail salon & tell them no base coat, they look at me with crooked eyes.

Yeah cause they want it to chip in 2 days so you have to come back!
I swear they also thin out their polish which is another reason it chips so darn easy.
I once brought my own brand new bottle of OPI and she kept saying- Too thick, too thick and tried to pour that blasted thinner in it.
I was like- WOAH there lady- it is is SUPPOSED to be like that... thats so it doesn't chip off in a day and a half!

Good to know! I sometimes do not use the quick dry I thought that might have something to do with it.
I hate when they thin out the nail polish I actually wont go to the salon again if i see them do that rather than open up a $5 bottle of nail polish.

I used to find it better without a base coat when I had natural nails. My nails did stain, but with dark colors they would stain even with a base coat. I now let them use a base coat on my toenails for pedicures but they still get stained. I get acrylic nails now because they require less maintenance than natural (for me, anyway).

so i tried this tonight. i used a sheer color (Essie Sugar Daddy) to prevent staining, which meant i needed 3 coats, plus the topcoat, so i don't know if it will work the same way but it is worth a shot!
