BoA contacted me and they're reissuing new cards to everyone just in case. It was a little annoying at first to change all of my auto-payments, but its better in the long run!

November 27 - December 15. All cards used during this time were compromised but doesn't mean they were stolen. However, if you shopped at Target during these dates it's wise to cancel your card(s).

and it was only if you shopped AT the store during this time, correct? Online shopping doesnt count?

I'm not sure. I shopped in-store with both a debit and credit card. My bank contacted me in regards to a possible debit card compromise so they issued me a new card. I did not cancel my credit card though.

Why would anyone be using a card that is known to be compromised?
I don't get it either. My card was used during that time so I had mine cancelled and got a new one. It would be more of a hassle to get things sorted if someone had used it (happened to me before on a different card) than to go to the bank and get a new one.

Just went to bank this morning and got a new debit card.
I literally live in target. And use my bank debit card there all the time.
Lady at bank said most people are doing it and she doesn't blame them. She fears people can lay low with your account info and use it months later
Better safe than sorry. I don't want anyone messing with my $

Exactly.
Takes just a few minutes for peace of mind and security. Much less of a hassle than actually getting hit with fraud.

ETA: I have never heard from TD how this is being handled. We have our joint accounts from there but I rarely use the debit, only have that account to pay our bills which I do online or through a paper check.
Their business account is through TD however.
TD canceled my debit card Saturday am (business checking)
they called me first- but I was working- went to get gas….card declined
I checked my bank account- everything was in there
they issued me a new one
someone tried to spend $215 at target in Maryland
