Thanks to what I learned on LIF, I am $1,200 richer
I had all sorts of broken jewelry and gold that I haven't worn in at least 10 years. I went to Budget Buy & Sell in Patchogue today and got $1,200 for it! I didn't even think I had that much 'stuff' in the baggie.
I would have never thought of doing it if it weren't for the threads on it the last few weeks!

I definetely have to do this. I have a lot of jewelry from old boyfriends I can turn in. What do you do if there are diamonds or other stones in the jewelry? Do they give you money for that also?

I had a few small diamonds and stuff, they just kind of lumped it in. I am sure if you had nice sized stones you could ask for them to be separated out and valued! I didn’t feel like they were trying to advantage or anything, if you know what I mean - they were very nice there.

 The thought TOTALLY crossed my mind!!!!!! Actually I am guying to buy a new pair of glasses as mine are really old and scratched, and I am going to put the rest aside for x-mas presents. Trying to plan ahead and be more responsible

I had a ring with diamonds on it and they told me they would pop them out and give them to me, if I decided to sell the ring.
I decided to keep it.

Where in Patchogue is it? In the Village?
It's on the corner of East Main & Route 83. It has a blue awning. I took route 83 to the end (becomes 1 lane and has stop signs)and it was there on the far left corner - I am not 100% sure if they call it route 83 when it's over there, though!
