The book..."What to Expect When You're Expecting".......
did anyone find this book helpful? we might start TTC in january and i bought this book the other day. are there any others that are better or more infomative? this would be my first time TTC

I preferred pregnancy week by week. I found "What to expect" kind of scary and horrible. It WAS informative though, but I find it a bit alarmist.
I also did not like "Girlfriend's Guide" I hated the way it made the husband seems like some unimportant player in the whole pregnancy

This is the book I read for TTC. It was very informative. I don't plan to read "What to Expect When You're Expecting" or any of the other books for PG until I get a BFP.

Same here. I feel like I would jinx myself if I bought them before I got pregnant.
I did get Taking Charge of Your Fertility and learned a lot

Once your pregnant (and before too if u want to read up) I liked the Mayo Clinic Guide To Pregnancy and Great Expectations: Pregnancy and Childbirth books when I was pregnant. They were both really good!

I read this too. Although, it's a MUCH different book than TCOYF which I actually liked better!
TCOFY is much more informative, where as the "what to expect" book is more frilly. I enjoyed both and still refer back to them.
