The Border....is it a crisis yet?

Children left alone on sides of roads?

Ads out for drivers to make tons of cash? Armed drivers?

Shelters at over 500% capacity?

Kicking homeless Americans out of shelters to make room for illegal immigrants?

Record number of children since they started keeping records?

I could go on..... it those that thought it wasn’t a crisis, do you still think that?

That 7 year old yesterday should have topped the cake for them to call this a crisis. Horrible and I did hear they might start putting the border back up in some places where it is so bad.

Yes, it's been a crisis for a long time. It's staggering the amount of services and humanitarian aid that needs to be addressed at our southern border.
I don't think anyone thinks it's not an issue or crisis; some of us don't believe the narrative that is just started with the Biden administration or that Biden opened the southern border when Biden has maintained most of Trump's actions in regards to the southern border. The one area that Biden stopped was building the wall. And if people are tossing their children over it - then it's not really effective anyway.

Biden pretty much told them to come and welcomed them during his campaign!

I don't agree with that but it's our own interpretation.
But, Biden has keep Trump's Title 42. Biden has kept MPP in place and Biden has also put forth a way to seek asylum without leaving your home country with the American Rescue Plan.

What about our border with Canada? Why isn’t there a crisis there? I heard it is a great place to live!

They are interviewing the refugees coming in and they are literally saying that they are coming because Biden told them they would be welcomed and would not be kicked out. Do a search, it's all over the news especially the Spanish news channels...there's no disputing the surge that is occurring right now is a direct result of the promises of this administration, you have to be blind to deny that.

The border is absolutely a humanitarian crisis and combined with COVID, it blows my mind that this administration is eerily silent about what's going on at the border and what they plan to do about it. Thousands of migrants crossing the borders during a pandemic where we are supposed to be limiting contact and social distancing, not to mention the lack of resources we have to accommodate all of these people...how is it not a crisis?

It is really sad that these young kids are being left here without their parentsChat Icon I know you want a better life for your children, but how can you just leave your young ones. I saw on the news, some of these kids have their parents numbers written on their arms. It is a crisis!

Funny again how COVID comes into play yet we keep wanting things to open up like it doesn't exist anymore. So which is it? Is COVID still a threat or not?

It really breaks my heart hearing those stories. Did u see the little boy that was found alone? I cried hearing his young, little voice breaking when he was talking because he was crying Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon. Whoever was talking to him was asking him why he was alone and he said they left him behind, and he didn’t know where to go. It’s terrible! I think parents obviously can’t effort to pay coyotes for the whole family (which is way, way more than a plane ticket) so they find themselves having to choose to send their child/children first, maybe they ask someone who’s also crossing (most likely a stranger) to keep an eye on their child til they cross and then I’m assuming a family member who maybe already lives in the US can pick up the child once he/she is on the US. I can’t even imagine the worries those parents must feel for their children, not only because it’s a dangerous journey (they can die dehydrated, drown, snake bites, etc) but also because among strangers there can be people with bad intentions. I also heard many of the adult and young women carry with them the morning after pill in case someone rapes them. It’s seriously horrible what’s happening right now.

No, it is not new but they are saying there are much more people coming in now.

Why won’t Biden and Harris go there? She said she would be there weeks ago.
