The hits just keep on coming.
So to add to the horrible year Im having, Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, GUESS WHAT?? It just did.
My wonderful husband was rushed to the emergency room on Sat because he almost sliced his fingers off on a hedge trimmer. Well, we thought we were covered by my new insurance. What I was told is that we are covered 30 days after my start date which would have been July 18.
To make a long story short, we arent covered until July 30- The Monday AFTER the begining of my 1st pay period. Im sick to my stomach right now. I dont even want to know what kind of bill we are getting for them ambulance, emergency room, plastic surgeon & follow up visits.
The hits just keep on coming.

 I am so sorry. This yr keeps getting worse for us to. I want it to all stop already. Just when things look up something happens again.
How is DH doing?

I'm not sure how it works, but can you pay Cobra from your last plan so that it's covered?

Yes-I was just going to post this. A similar situation happened to me-i didn't think i needed insurance for 3 months & i ended up slicing my finger open. i paid the cobra payment on my previous plan which was about $300.00. There was no problem with them covering my hospital bills & plastic surgeoun-which was over 4k.
Call your old insurance company Janie & inquire about the Cobra. I hope Anthony is okay

Hes doing fine now. Hes a landscaper so he cut a few of his fingers on a hedge trimmer. Bad enough to be rushed into the emergency rm.
He had a plastic surgeon stitch him up, so he will be doing fine (hopefully)

That is great advice and definitely worth looking into.
I hope your DH is feeling better.
