The joys of taking a pregnancy test
I've been seeing a RE every week- I get a sono and blood done (she's working with us because I have PCOS). Since I see her every week I haven't been monitoring my cycle using OPKs or anything like that. They've been keeping me up to date on whether or not I'm ovulating or will be.
Because I see her every week I just realized I probably won't need to take a pregnancy test ever right? They would see during the sono and/or blood work that I'm pregnant. Or should still test on my own?
Not sure which option I would even like better! THey both sound like a bunch of waiting!!

Well, the RE may do the beta 2 weeks after she detects ovulation. You could "cheat" and test a few days before that

Re: The joys of taking a pregnancy test
Bloodwork is usually more sensitive but I tested the night before my beta because I wanted to know what to expect from the results phone call.
I also wanted DH with me when I found out.

I don't remember her mentining a beta test (or she may have- there's so much to take in). I'm assuming its a test they give you after you ovulate to see if you are pregnant?

Yes, it's part of the bloodwork at the end of your 2WW to test for levels of the pregnancy hormone HCG and Progesterone in your blood.
