Re: The New Parent Rut...
I wanna say we've been in a rut- but not about Ryan-
He really never says or questions anything I do for/with him...
Most of our issues come from the lack of household help on his end....and by the end of the day we are both so tired- it just takes one wrong look- and we are off the deep end...
A friend and I were talking over lunch yesterday- and we came to the conclusion that MARRIAGE IS WORK!
I think part of the reason the divorce rate is so high- is people arent prepared or aware for whats in store for the future- I know for me- I pictured marriage totally different- and didnt realize how hard times could be....
He makes it all worth wild when HE WRITES me a beautiful card- filled with all the things I want and NEED to hear!-

Re: The New Parent Rut...
Thanks so much for everyone's honest responses...MEN! Just kidding...It's good to know that I am not alone (or in Beth's case that DH has a twin out there )
I adore my DH and love him, we just need to get past the petty BS...and realize that I am ALWAYS right
I am sooooo looking forward to this wedding weekend so we can have some solo time one on one.

We went through a rut when mine were younger too. Someone would tell him something at work & he would take it as gospel (wipe warmers are bad, cold bottles are fine for them).
Now that they're older we're enjoying them & us more.
'
That is my hubby too. Everyone knows everything. But only his friends. My friends that have kids don't know diddly. The doctor doesn't know diddly. It's getting better but this has been a constant battle for us as of lately. But as I said the older she is getting the better it's getting.
I used to just think it was nerves and sleep deprivation but now I think it's him being over zealous.

Re: The New Parent Rut...
I'm having a hard time with JT, too. I think some of it is to be expected, but a lot of it is because he is having a hard time handling the fact that I'm having a hard time with all the change. But it really annoys me when he tells me that what I eat can't possibly affect my BM or Ava. For instance, I figured out that Ava has a dairy sensitivity. It's pretty bad. She would wheeze terribly, her eyes would get all red and swollen and she would have a really hard time pooping. So as soon as I cut out dairy, VOILA! all those things stopped. However, he thinks it sheer coincidence. It's like, could you invalidate me anymore? Thanks. Jerk.
