The official Lindi (medic6809) update thread!! She is here!
I heard from her DH about an hour ago, she is 24 hours post rupture so she is now on pitocin with an epi and doing well.
Good luck Lindi!
ETA She is here! Emily Sue Faith was born at 2:28pm  Congrats to Lindi and her DH!

I was under the impression that you must deliver in 24 hours after water breaking? Is there something else that I'm missing?
I wish them all the best, and what an amazing day to have a baby!!

I delivered DD 30 hours after the doc broke my water (I had a very stubborn child) I still had a vaginal delivery DD was just taken to NICU for observation but she was fine and was released from NICU in no time
ETS: I wish Lindi all the best and a speedy delivery from here

No there is no magical time limit that a baby must be born once your water breaks, that was the old school way of thinking. Yes the risk for infection goes up after about 24hrs but you are closely monitored for that while in labor.
