We used the same godfather - my husband only has 1 brother, but we used a different godmother.

We had the same for both kids, mainly b/c of the family I'm close enough with to consider, very few are Catholic. DH's family is Jewish, my cousins on my dad's side are Jewish and my cousins on my mom's side are Lutheran. I felt strongly that both godparents should be Catholic.

I chose different ones this time.
Dh's family is jewish, so we went with our best friends (MOH & BM from our wedding)

I've never heard of anyone using the same godparents for a 2nd child before this. So, we have 2 different sets of people and we're already discussing a 3rd set if/when the time comes!
