They were in Patchogue right by the light by sear hardware. The boy was holding a sign saying Happy Easter please help us! The mom was sitting on the curb by the busy street holding a newborn wrapped in a blanket. I don't think the baby was real for some reason because she was holding it wierd. plus it was pretty darn cold that day to be sitting on a curb near a busy road!! I don't understand how they are allowed to stand there all day with children..cold, or hot..and what if they do have a real newborn!! Just ridiculous!

Saw them at Target in Levittown a few weeks ago. They were being told to leave by a security guard on a segue but just walked across the parking lot to Stop & Shop. They were gone by the time I left. It was a "mom" "dad" and two kids, one was an infant.

Last fall, a couple and their baby were standing outside my church after Mass. Had a sign and everything. I told them they could go to the rectory and tjey could help them, that they have a food pantry and baby supplies. They were adamant in telling that the church told them they wouldnt help them. I thought that was very strange. I really think they were just trying get money out of people. And rude to me when i tried to help. Strange.
I find it really hard to believe a church, of all places, wouldn't give them some kind of assistance. More and more it seems like a money making scheme above everything else.

Because its a HUGE scam... they're not homeless...they're letting children sit out in the blazing heat to beg for money....and bc they are scamming on peoples' good intentions thus ruining it for those who are really in need....and bc I work hard for my money and there is no way I'm giving it to crooks who are probably living in a nicer house than I am.

You're not bothered by seeing small children...infants even being used to scam money out of people? Can you imagine being that poor kid, sitting there ALL day long having help beg for these people who may or may not even be your parents which also makes me feel bad if they aren't with their parents because if their parents are that horrible to lend their kids out to these losers how else are they being neglectful?

The guy that I saw today was jumping into the street when a car would come by. Someone is going to hit him. It's ridiculous. I had to practically swerve out of the way.

They were in the Target parking lot in Copiague yesterday.
There were a couple police cars there, but I think they arrested a guy who was a pick pocketer. I watched that go down because I was sitting on the bench waiting for DH to pick me up-----he had gone over to Home Depot.
A young guy came running out and they tackled him against a car. Another guy said "he took my wallet he took my wallet".
I don't think the two were related but who knows.
