I'm glad too. I hope he gets everything he has coming to him.
They said his father died, and they've lived there forever. I wonder what his name is and how old. I wonder if my siblings or I went to school with him I didn't recognize him, but take away a beard and 13 years, and maybe....

I didn't think it would take long, that was a pretty decent picture they had of him

I mapquested the street Newsday reported and the pharmacy - about 2 1/2 miles away.
ETA: I hope he doesn't wind up in a mental hospital or something b/c he was on drugs at the time.

I think one of victims father's said it best. He said the guy who shot those innocent people was a punk and that he didnt' care if he was on drugs. They would find him.
So glad they did!

Suffolk police Wednesday morning arrested a Medford man in connection with the quadruple murder at a Medford pharmacy, according to a source familiar with the case.
Police took David Laffer, 33, into custody three days after the murders at Haven Pharmacy on Sunday, the source said. Laffer was arrested about 10 a.m. at a Medford home, the source said, and he was en route to Yaphank police headquarters.
The development comes during an intense three-day manhunt triggered by what veteran cops have called the most cold-blooded crime committed on Long Island in recent memory.

Officials said surveillance cameras at Haven Drugs captured the events: A thin young man wearing a white baseball cap and sunglasses walking into the store and shooting the pharmacist, Raymond Ferguson, 45; and an employee, Jennifer Mejia, 17, of Medford, a high school senior. The gunman then shot two customers: Bryon Sheffield, 71, of Medford, who was picking up drugs for his wife's heart ailments; and Jaime Taccetta, 33, of Farmingville, a single mother of two.
All of the victims were defenseless and shot at close range, police Commissioner Richard Dormer said Monday.
"This is one of the most heinous, brutal crimes we've ever experienced," he said.
With all four victims collapsed in the storefront shop, the gunman then loaded his backpack with opiate painkillers, police said.
And he walked out.
Investigators believe the suspect was motivated by addiction to painkillers. He took no cash from the register, according to a law enforcement source.
It was the worst mass shooting in Long Island since Dec. 7, 1993, when Colin Ferguson opened fire on a Long Island Rail Road train, killing six people and wounding 19.
The manhunt for the Medford suspect and pleas by police for any viable information from the public generated hundreds of leads, police said.
Suffolk parole and probation officials were also looking in their records for leads: opiate addicts or someone who might have recently failed a drug test. Narcotics detectives consulted informants to learn if opiate pills were hitting the black market en masse.
Criminal intelligence officers were also going through casework and examining the surveillance video. All commands and precincts in Suffolk and Nassau police received photos of the suspect.
Suffolk deployed more officers near pharmacies and put plainclothes crime section officers into uniform to make a more visible presence, Dormer said. Dormer appealed to doctors and pharmacists and anyone who has encountered someone "expressing an urgent need for prescription painkillers" to examine the photos.
"We're asking those who work in pharmacies, especially smaller stores off the beaten track, to be extra vigilant."
The suspect was last seen running east on Southaven Avenue, police said. The 911 call came in at 10:23 a.m.
Grief and anger rippled through the central Suffolk communities where the victims lived Monday as a memorial of flowers and candles sprung up outside the one-story medical office building off Route 112 that houses Haven Drugs.
At Bellport High School, where Mejia was a senior, flags were flown at half staff. Counselors comforted heartbroken classmates.
"God will take care of it," said Mejia's father, Rene, outside his home Monday. "We are no one to ask for revenge. All we can do is pray."
The shooting was the third crime in 19 months at Haven, police said. There was an unsuccessful burglary in January. In December 2009, a man in his 20s robbed the business of cash, but no drugs were taken and no one was hurt.
No arrests were made in either case, police said.
The pharmacy owner, Vinoda Kudchadkar, installed security cameras last month in response to the earlier crimes, said friend Soma Pulipati, a cardiologist in the plaza.
"But see, cameras don't prevent these things," Pulipati said. "They only help after."

see this right here is why there needs to be some computer database that every practice can log on to and cross refrence to see what other doctors have prescribed what pain pills, to help stop addiction.

News12 quoted a neighbor who said that undercover cops had been sitting on his block for days, so I guess it was true that they knew who it was almost right away.
Those poor people had to die in such a senseless way because of this animal.
