This child is giving me a run for my money

ok so we changed over olivias baby room and moved all her stuff out. we told her the baby is coming and she is all excited. she wont sleep in the big girl bed lately and giving me a hard time. tonight she was straddled over the bar in the crib trying to climb out. cannot understand why she wont sleep in a bed but tries to escape a crib. so we shut the door to the baby room and i let her cry for a little bit in the big girl room with the gate shut. then i felt bad and rubbed her back. 10 minutes later she was wimpering for me to stay. when does this get better?

Could she be adjusting from coming home from vacation?

It does get better. This is not because a baby is coming. I seriously believe that every child under 5 doesn't realize the baby is STAYING.

hope so. she slept in her crib last night and for nap today. i took off the side of the crib and took the mattress out today and she said no more crib mommy. so now she knows i mean business. i actually took the side off to raise the mattress but not strong enough to get the screws out so have to wait for dh but olivia sat and watched me do it. today she told my neighbor no more crib. so thinks its sinking in.

took us a few weeks for DD to get used to her crib in the new room

now we're on to the big bed
