This is for afriend,..not me... i swear.... Is this a low HCG for 5.5 weeks along?
I am posting here bc iI ant to see if anyone went on to have successful pregnacy ... my friend hcg has gone up in a week however she is 5.5 weeks and its only at 205 is that low?It went form 45 to 205 in a weeks time The drs are not hopful but making her wiat until next wednesday( she had blood this past monday) to see if it goes up and iofthey see a heartbeat.

I am not an expert but that sounds pretty low. I don't remember my exact HcG level off hand but at that point in my pregnancy it was much, much higher than that. I hope everything works out for your friend.

I have to agree with Kristen. My HCG beta was I believe around 2000 (if not a little more) at 5.5 weeks pregnant.
Is it possible she is not as far along as she thinks?
I hope everything works out for your friend.

If both blood draws were exactly one week apart (like a monday and the next monday), then yes I would say that is low....
If it started at 45 on the first monday, on wed would be 90, then on friday 180, then around 360 on sunday (approximate #'s) so monday should def be over 300.
However...if it were done on monday then again on saturday it might be a fine range....it is so hard to tell....I would THINK that would indicate a problem, should prob be higher

it was exactly one week from 45 to 205

thats very low, it should continue to double each day
45-90-180-360-720-1440...so at a week should be at around 2500-3000

Mine was that low at that time and it was moving so slow. It finally shot up over a week later. Everything worked out fine. I hope it works out for your friend.
