Its like people are shocked that personalities like Cho exist...
let me tell you - i can name at least 5 people with the same characteristics - i met all of them throughout my college studies.
What's the difference between the resident weirdo, and the guy who snaps?! Or better yet, what is it going to take for the resident weirdo to snap?
 Its a scary thought.

Wow. Reading the bog gave me the chills. And those plays, they are so disturbing.
My heart breaks for all the students and all of their families.

I read the 1st play and it is really messed up, I honestly can't believe someone would submit that for a college class. Not only is it disturbing, filled with profanity & violence, it is awful.

As disturbing and weird as they are, think of all the disturbing movies that are out there right now. Then think of how many more are written and never get made. I am sure there are a lot screenplays that are written with twisted ideas and profanity submitted in college classes.
The scary part is trying to determine, who has an active imagination and who is going to act on it.

I read the plays, and I didn't think they were that bad. Certainly not well-written, but having taken college creative writing and taught college writing, I have seen much more violence and gore. I actually think any teacher showing this to the police would get laughed at. Stephen King writes horrible, unimaginable violence...But it is all fiction. Just because you can dream up scenarios doesn't mean you can commit murder (in this case it did, but...). We cannot arrest people for what they write.
And the blog sounds like he was an anti-social geek. Didn't we all have kids like that in our college classes? I know I did. I think it makes people feel more comfortable thinking next time we will be able to see the signs, when in reality we may never be able to predict who will become a killer.
