And this started as a peaceful protest. I saw this on social media and saw the people who were going and their intention.
The National Guard should have been out there from the beginning to stop this.
Peaceful by whose standards? If it was so peaceful, why were these peaceful protesters armed? And if it was so peaceful why was this statement enough to start a violent insurrection?
"And after this, we're going to walk down there, and I'll be there with you, we're going to walk down ... to the Capitol and we are going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women," Trump told the crowd. "And we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong."
The groups that planned this to go together there. Not everyone was violent and didn’t plan to be. Don’t lump all these people together.
This protest was never not to be violent. ... calls from Boogaloos, an extremist group, to “Burn down DC.” One person asked on Twitter, “Whos running arms and ammo to dc for when the fun starts.” On Twitter, between Jan. 1 and Jan. 6, 1,480 posts from QAnon-related accounts referenced Jan. 6 and contained violent terms or threats including calls for “Patriots to Rise up, Kick The Tires and Light the Fires, and Kick Ass and Take Names!!”, Advance Democracy found. One post by a QAnon-related account claimed “threats of violence” were the only thing “TYRANTS understand.” "
Again not all that went were looking for violence. Maybe if you knew people who went you would see that. Every protest can and does have bad apples.
Again, the POTUS through his rhetoric, his tweets, his misleading information and his riling up of his base to be angry and made to feel disenfranchised was inciting violence from the get-go. Anyone who showed up today knew full well what was going to go down, Trump called for a revolution and a revolution is what he got.
Everyone in life has a choice to do things in life. This is a post from someone who was there. Normal people who went for a peaceful protest:
Just want to say don't believe the hipe. The so called "storming the capital" was completely staged. We were there and it was a set up all the way...

I am in tears. I cannot believe the damage Trump has done. He is FULLY responsible. He needs to be removed from office IMMEDITELY!!!! This is treason encouraged by the president. GET HIM OUT.
TBH, I’m wondering how he was able to stay in office this long? How did this go on for his entire term, getting worse and worse. How he is still the president right now? So if our Commander in Chief starts acting like a lunatic, the only way to get him out is by an election and we are just stuck??
How did people storm the freaking capitol so fast? Where is our security? You watch the movies where terrorist storm D.C. so fast and think that doesn’t happen. Yet I just saw it on live TV, like nothing?
I have so many questions right now!
I personally think people stormed the capitol so fast without being stopped by security because most police / security are Trump supporters and believe his rhetoric that the election is rigged and fraud was committed. I say this as the wife of a police officer. My DH and all of his colleagues are serious Trump supporters and Fox News viewers.
I believe it. It was way too fast. This guy needs to go. ASAP.

Agree. Fox News (it’s always on in my house ) is still going on and on and on about how the “fraudulent election needs to be investigated”. They have filed multiple lawsuits and none have l gone anywhere. Tucker Carlson literally just said that this is worth “fighting for”. As much as Trump needs to be held responsible for what happened today, Fox News needs to be held responsible for its role in spreading disinformation and inciting violence.
I actually stopped watching Fox except for a few shows and I did flip over today and they were doing the total opposite. Maybe it all depends on who is reporting.

Was this fine upstanding citizen on one of the 5 buses from LI that headed there? bc that group is claiming to have stormed the capital.
This fine upstanding citizen that can’t spell. What a joke. And that one post from that one “normal” person is supposed to convince those of us crazy enough to believe that what happened today was wrong and that your president should be sitting in prison for a very long time for today alone, not to mention his MANY other crimes, of what exactly?? Sad really. UNLESS you aren’t real. What normal person speaks this stupidity, gets torn to shreds and keeps coming back for more? Go find another post from a normal person claiming MORE conspiracy theories to get your dude more riled up.
Get believing that everyone is bad. What a horrible way to live.
I’m real and I know it kills bullies like yourself that people stand up to you.

A bully like me....lol. That’s hilarious. Nope not everyone is bad. Quite the opposite. I choose to believe that most are great! What kills me is people like YOU trying to defend your vicious, now murderous, leader along with your little minion friends that he has managed to brainwash so successfully. Do you not see what this man has done to our country? Honestly? You have yet to acknowledge any of his evil shenanigans. It’s shocking and sickening to me.

I never defended anyone. Not going to continue as at the end of the day we all don’t condone this behavior. Fighting is not getting us anywhere.

Re: This is literal anarchy...............
who supported any rioting during the BLM protests?
Really wondering cause that's all i keep hearing where was everyone then.
Pretty sure most people were saying the rioting was not ok but I guess I am wrong?!!
Violence at any protest is never ok.

GTFOH.
You are unreal, why do keep posting today? You're saying the most ridiculous things and getting shredded left and right.
This all falls on Trump. ALL OF IT.
Same reason everyone else is posting.
I am jealous that you are able to post constantly and still able to keep up with a huge home, homeschooling, baking everyday, cooking gourmet meals and taking care of your man. See I AM jealous.
You really are just an asshole!
