This is Us ...spoilers
Did everyone watch last night? What did you think?
I thought part of the story line dragged a bit. But am interested in how it will all play out. My favorite part was the ending where Deja gave Randall the shoes.
Edited to add:
*Do we think the football player Harris is Deja's dad?
*Who do we think Randall and his daughter are going to see at the end? Is it Kate, is it the mom, or is it Kate and Toby's child???

At first I thought the football player was Deja's dad but now I just think it was to put a timeline into focus, contextually needed.
I am so curious about the future. it is so far in the future, so I am thinking it is either Kate, or a child (someone from the future generation)...

Wasn't the person that Deja visited her dad? To get the sneakers? Plus the timeline doesn't work out. Maybe her grandfather? I still think that the football player is *someone* important.

I don't think the football player has to do with them. I just think that a lot of the shows ties around the Steelers. First Rebecca didn't know about the game and then she became a HUGE fan. Also shows that there was a "miracle" with the game and that has to do with the family.
Then again I could be wrong.
I don't know who they are visiting in the future? Rebecca? Kate?
Not sure why Tess doesn't want to go.
Does she come out of the bathroom?
So many questions!
Wonder if the IVF or during childbirth something happens to Kate? Do they give up the child? Ugh!

I want to add that there were a few parts I loved.
Loved when Deja said all the things to her biological father and then the look on Randall's face when he was upset, but then saw the gift in her backpack. LOVED that.
Love the thing with Beth and Opera.
I also loved that I heard Beth have a soft spot for Kevin. I usually never see that. Hope it works out for Kevin and Beth's cousin.

I always wanted to start watching this series. A few people highly recommended it to me last year. So I watched last night for the first time. Was a little lost, but watched a few episodes on Demand after and figured out the show a bit. Am I going to be so lost coming in at this point? Should I try to watch season 1 or 2 to fill myself in? I never came in a series after a few seasons.

You should really watch it from the beginning. You are going to binge it!
I actually think I may. Even though I was a bit lost last night, I enjoyed it, especially after I watched another episode or two from past seasons. I understand who everyone is.

This isn't a show you can just jump into. It's character driven and they weave a tight web on this show. Some shows, I'd say sure just start watching now. but for this I'd just start binging from season 1. There were not too many episodes, so I think you could catch up fairly quickly. It'll make much more sense and you'll be more invested if you watch from the beginning in the order they intended.

Thank you. I have Direct TV and while it is on demand, there are lots of missing episodes. I find this when searching for other shows. We are actually cancelling in a few days and getting FIOS. Does anyone know where else I can watch the past episodes of this series?

You totally have to watch from the beginning. It's not a show you can just pick up in the 3rd season.

You totally have to watch from the beginning. It's not a show you can just pick up in the 3rd season.
I agree & I think season 1 especially was totally amazing & worth your time to see every episode!!

I think the football is just to represent what happens
Steelers were not a good team and that play (which is incredibly famous in nfl history) turned that team around
Like jack was down and Rebecca turned him around. The miracles
I think the person in the future is Beth. Too obvious to be Kate. Prob not even a death.
I want to know who Rebecca was kissing

My husband was at work when I watched but when he got home I asked about this Harris guy and he is apparently pretty well known lol
He is famous for a play called “The Immaculate Reception “ -I feel that there could be sooo many metaphors for this is the episode
Here is pretty much what my husband explained to me from nfl.com ( because they are taking about this show too now haha)

I was wondering that too. Tess is at work, so it would make sense that her little sister isn't there, but is she going to vist this mysery woman too? Is she the mystery woman? I have wondered that since last season. I saw a theory that the her is Rebecca and se is dying- Tessa doesn't want to see her b/c it is too sad & Toby doesn't wnat to go b/c he & Kate are divorced and he doesn't think he is welcomed. That made a lot of sense to me.
The whole Harris thing annoyed me. I don't want family backstory on incidental characters.
Also- how did we go from Deja vanadlizng a car, to Deja happily being adopted by Randall & Beth? I assume there had to be a sturggle in there somewhere. I wonder if that will show that at some point.

I keep thinking they are going to meet at the cemetery, to see Randall’s younger daughters gravesite. It seems she’s not apart of the future story line.

Wow..I have been binge watching this show on demand this week. Can't believe how many episodes I watched in a few days. I hope to be caught up by next weeks show. Can't believe I have missed this great show! I am in season 2 right now. Thank you for recommending watching past episodes rather than jumping right in. I would have missed everything. The acting is amazing! Love it!

I think this too. Kate dies at some point either from IVF complications OR due to Tobys Mental Health Issues and they are going to see Rebecca who is on her death bed. Randall called Toby because even though Kate is no longer with them, she'd want him there too.
My imagination is running wild with this one - I love it!
