I still have my dancing skeleton for Halloween on my proch. Maybe I should put a Santa hat on him.
I understand putting them up in teh warmer weather, but why turn them on? Also why have a tree lit in your house, the warm weather shouldn't matter for that.

I hate when it suddently gets FREEZING cold and I'm outside on the roof trying not to slide off b/c I'm putting up the lights!
Oh I am ALL FOR hanging the lights early because I have done it in the bitter cold and I agree, it is NO fun. But the thing with him is - he has them LIT already AND inside the house is a tree, fully lit and you can see further back to a mantel with stockings and lights- all done up. On VETERAN'S DAY!
They did this last year too.
It is INSANITY! 
Were getting close to that point but only because our Vet will most likely be deployed for the holiday.

I noticed 3 people on my block alone doing Christmas lights. I guess the weather was so gorgeous this week, it makes sense as long as you dont turn them on this early.

800 Third avenue has already put up a wreath & lights around the tress outside their building. so has Ribot further down Third. so bad.

Do you live on my block??? My neighbor was putting his up on Saturday -- DH and I want to drop him a note reminding him to CONSERVE ENERGY THANK YOU AND IT IS NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET!!

I swear I thought of leaving a note when they did it last year too-it just looks utterly ridiculous.

There's a radio station here in Chicago that's only playing Christmas music 24 hrs a day.... It started Nov 1st. 
I find it ridiculous that Santa is already at the mall also.
