those bfing 6+ months?

how many times in 24 hours do you bf your dc? how old are they?

i'm having a hard time getting in 3 meals (solids) and bf 5 times. i'm wondering if i could cut back to bfing 4 times...?

Well, you can't really go by me. I just introduced solids at 6 months and we're only doing once a day.

He gets 3 bottles of expressed BM at daycare and then I BF him about 5 times- so he eats 8 times a day plus one serving of solids.

Oh- my DS is 6-1/2 months.

Until my DS was 1, I BF in the morning, pumped 8-12 ounces while I was at work which I left in bottles, BF after school, before bed and once in the middle of the night. So, I was BF at least 4 times and he had two bottles. I didn't really worry about giving him 3 meals until he was over a year old.

DD is almost 7 months and I bf around 6x per day (including middle of the night) with 2 solid meals and 1 bottle of formula

hmm, it seems i'm not feeding him as frequently as i thought i was. anyone else?

yeah after reading these posts i'm thinking i'm not BFing enough either! i think i am at 5x a day including the 5am feeding...she also eats solids 3x a day too.... so i BF after the solids before her naps then before bed and then that 5 am feeding

mine are a little younger (5 1/2 mos) and we just started solids, so i'm not speaking from personal experience, but everything i have read says that the majority of nutrition for the first year should still be coming from bm/formula and that solids are just a supplement to that.

in super baby food it says at least 5x day and if your baby is not drinking this minimum amount, decrease the amount of solid foods you offer.
