Those expecting #2 or more-time with DC1

I am due any day now with twins. This has been a crazy week b/c DS started pre-K, going on the bus, and my sister was visiting who he hadn't seen in two years - he also can tell babies are coming soon - so he's all over the place. Today, even though I have the babysitter, I said I'd like to spend a few hours with him like we used to in the morning -well it was a disaster - my car battery died, he was upset b/c we were going somewhere, he doesn't know what he wants to play, is whining, etc.... I just feel sad and guilty - I imagined a nice morning hanging with my buddy like old times and it didn't happen. There's always tomorrow if I don't go into labor - but still just sad and disappointed about it... just venting...

Sorry it didn't work out! I give you so much credit just for trying. At 29 weeks I feel guilty bc by the middle of the day I'm beat and DD always seems to want a playmate lately. Not to mention, sitting on the floor is uncomfortable, getting up and down and all that is just not fun. Yesterday all she wanted was for us to look under the couch with a flashlight for her "missing" toys but my heartburn was not having it. I can't imagine what it's like with twins! I feel bad that I know it's only going to get harder as the weeks go by. I always see friends making the most of every last day by taking their kids to the park, fairs, etc and I just can't see myself doing that. Hopefully you get another chance before those LOs come and it works out better!

I am in the same boat. 37w6d with #2 and I'm exhausted. Trying to spend extra time with DS but sometimes I really just want to sit on the couch and I have been trying to get DH to take him to the potty as much as possible because the bending is just killing me!
