I did a circus theme.. I wanted to save trucks and things like that for when he was older and he'd be more excited about it (we did fire trucks for his 2nd birthday)

Backyardigans as far as I know!! He loves this show, the only one he will pay attention to.
They have a new cake pan out of Pablo so I am attempting a pablo cake, lol!

our tradition for what they wear is a sailor suit,
and this is my first summer baby, so we get to have a pool party 
so something along the lines of nautical ALL ABOARD, type theme.
Im no so obsessed with theme stuff. just a general color theme and a few accessories/decorations.
my hubbies cousin did a Luau theme in her backyard which was great too !

This is what we are doing!
there's a FUNNY Article in this month's issue of TIME OUT NY about party themes and how its getting out of hand, and there were the super outrageous bdays that cost more than a wedding, and there was one mom that said "what happened to the bdays where the theme of the bday is THE BIRTHDAY BOY !"  
the writers of that magazine are HYSTERICAL ! does anyone else read it ?
this is like my 3rd or 4th issue, and I love some of them

Is it bad that I haven't even begun thinking about this yet?  DS will be 1 this October, I guess I better get a move on it 
(I think if we do have any sort of 'theme' it might be Baby Einstein, since he LOVES everything to do with Baby Einstein !)
