Those pg with girls, did your face change yet?

You know the saying that "Girls steal your beauty"? Not me, not yet anyway...My face has not changed at all and my skin looks great, too. People tell me my belly looks like I am carrying a girl, but that my face hasn't changed.

Just tonight we went out to eat and a woman stopped me and said "Boy or girl?" and I said girl, to which she replied "I knew it, you are carrying very girl." I have heard this from many people, and if that holds any truth, it makes me wonder why hasn't my face changed?

So what about those of you who know it's a girl, did your face change and how far along are you? Can it still change you think, closer to the end or would it have changed by now?

I really don't believe to much in that because of the term "girls take the beauty away and boys make you glow".

I am over 35 weeks now and having a girl and my face has not changed at all. In fact, my skin has never looked better :)

Isn't it great? I have to say I think I look just as good now while pg, if not better!

My face never changed and I am pg with my 2nd girl. I also carry my babies "stereotypical boy" (right out front).

no, not at all. The only things that have changed on my body are my belly and my boobs.

Same with me -- My little girl is due in 3 days and still no change in my face and my skin has been great too!

When I was pregnant with DDs my face did not change one bit - not even on delivery day. My hair and skin never looked of felt better either. The theory went out the window for me!

I'm having a boy but I don't think any of these old wives tales hold much weight!

My face only changes when I was pregnant with my son and everyone said I must be having a girl.. But with my girls I have looked the same in the face and everyone says I must be having a boy..so cant say I believe the wives tales.

love these wives tales... frankly, I wonder where the heck they even originated.... so strange.

I guess people were desperate to figure out the gender before the era of the ultrasound Chat Icon

I'll tell you one thing.... this boy definitely stole my ankle bones Chat Icon

Re: Those pg with girls, did your face change yet?

Same exact thing for me, my face hasn't changed at all, except for my skin being a little less cooperative than I'm used to, I never had skin issues..but this isn't anything major...but literally I was walking down the street in the city on Friday and a woman just walked right up to me and said ur so having a girl randomly...so I'm carrying very girl and everyone likes to randomly tell me this too along with when ur carrying a girl, ur azz gets bigger too...I'm glad to know that..THANKS..but NO my face has not changed..THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha, my ankles are cankles now too...Chat Icon

I thought though that the difference in hormones from a male/female pg is what caused face changes. So there is no truth to that?

I doubt it. there's so much variablity among women on how they tolerate hormones, and the vast majority of them are due to an interaction of mom and the placenta, not the baby.... The baby's sex hormones should be lost in the 'noise' of all of those much larger hormone cycles.....

I am glad you said this. I get so many comments about how "are you sure its a girl" because I am carrying straight out in a point not wide. 5 sonos all said girl!

I do not know what I am having, but people are saying that because I am breaking out I must be having a girl. So far at 21 weeks, my face has not changed.
