those still working?
How do you make it through your work day? I'm finding that after about 3.5 - 4 hours I am just crashing and cannot get back on focus or back my energy. I did start adding a little caffeine after having cut it out entirely for the first 2 trimesters and even that isn't helping. Thoughts?
ETA - woops, I'm 33 & 1/2 weeks.

Re: those still working?
I give you credit. I've been working from home since 30ish weeks (now 37+) and I am still exhausted. Honestly sometimes I will just log off for 30 minutes to take a nap.

Fruits and nuts...Sometimes taking a break for fresh air and going for 20 walk wakes me up.

I am with you-I'm 33 weeks and exhausted. I literally sit and yawn and rub my eyes! I'm training people to cover my work and I feel like after an hour I'm not able to think/focus anymore. Almost over!

I wish I could work from home, I manage a small medical practice and while there are things that I could do from home, the bulk of my day is supervisory... I've been training staff to take over certain items for a few weeks and I'm definitely getting more confident with them working on those things. I really am trying very hard to clean off my desk of anything that was/is pending and honestly to bank as much $$$ before I have to take leave.

Re: those still working?
Almost 28 weeks and I am so tired :/ Certain offices tire me out more. I am SO HAPPY this nor'easter is hitting tomorrow bc my receptionist already called me with a list of cancellations lol I think I only have 5 patients for the whole day and when those see the rain, I will most likely have less.

I'm just about 28 weeks and am so exhausted all the time, but I teach so I have to be "on" all the time. I will sit down if they are doing work at their seats or taking notes, but that's about it lol. And I plan on working until DS makes his appearance lol.

Well it's coming off of the ocean so it's considered a nor'easter but it's hitting Boston worse than us. We will get the rain but not as much wind and craziness.

I'm 28 weeks. I find the more active I am the less tired I feel. I make every effort to get up and walk during my workday! That and fresh air; it definitely helps!

I'm a teacher so there is no down time. I literally work all day with little kids and then stay after to do more work. I sit down for 10 minutes at lunch and thats about it. When I get home I am shot.

Re: those still working?
make sure you take little breaks here and there I went all the way until the day I went into labor. It's really a challenge but if you take a break do things at your own pace and stay hydrated you are good. Your job knows your state and I'm sure they don't expect everything to get done. Hang in there

Re: those still working?
I'm still working but I think that might end this weekend....its really rough because i'm on my feet the majority of the time, but I almost feel like it is worse when I stop moving.... So I am fine until about 330/4pm then I hit a wall and i'm sure my patients can tell that the last 3 hours of my shift i'm definitely dragging A-S-S!!
I'm 36W with today so I really want to make it through this weekend so that I just have 1 week off before my section!
OR, I would LOVE it if my water would just break!!

Oddly I find it to be the opposite. I hate to say it's bc my Boss (female) doesn't have any kids. But my workload has not lessened at all. There are still tons of e-mails and notes to "make sure this gets done etc".

Yup, I'm in the same boat. I manage the practice, so for me there is no "down time", there's a lot that I need to take care of before being out for weeks, including getting some IT upgrades done which I have been harassing the doctor about getting done for the last month ++. FINALLY got the OK to move forward so I have to schedule that asap. Now they also want to possibly change shredding companies (again all before I go on leave).

Re: those still working?
I'm 36 1/2 weeks now and I teach second grade, so I am up and moving around a lot (well waddling around!) but I think what is helping me is that I have gestational diabetes and so I am eating every 2-3 hours, and its all good food. It's helping to keep my weight in check (only gained 7 pounds so far) and my energy level is pretty consistent throughout the day. I am wiped out at night, and not sleeping well at all, but I am able to make it through the day OK. I am also drinking a lot of water, b/c my fluid level was a little low, and I think that helps as well!

Of course, I say all this, and while I'm exhausted, here i am at 6:30, still at the office, when I should have left at 5... But I got my desk almost entirely cleared off of crap that's been accumulating and I think I am ready to go on leave at this point whenever I need! I'm going to keep coming in for that paycheck, and to keep them in good shape, but getting what I got done today done has made a huge impact for me.
