Those that do writer's workshop with folders....some question and help please
I'm in Kindergarten (city school) and starting writer's workshop this year.
Trying to get a supply list together for the parents (of course with the city the parents didn't get one before school starts...so will be giving them one on the first day). Do you supply the kids with the folder or do you put it on their supply list for the parents to purchase.
Do the writer workshop folders have to be the same (thus I would have to get them) or does it not matter?
Also, if I supply them, can I use any folder or does it have to be the fancy ones that say writer's workshop folder.
Thanks!

i usually supply them b/c i'm anal and want them to be the exact same...you can ask parents to send in a specific color folder if u want...nothing fancy, just a plain colored folder w/ their names on a avery label...we contact paper pictures onto their folders - ask for the pictures a week ahead of when you'll glue them on
good luck... :)
