those who use room darkening shades..
..do you use them for every nap? any disadvantages (ie baby not sleeping well without them, confusing night and day etc) DS is 4 months old--is that too early to start using them? TIA!!

We started using them when they went into toddler beds. I twas too bright when they were supposed to be napping that they would play and destroy the room instead.
I don't think it is an issue to use them starting now if it will help him nap.

we use them and i cannot imagine not having them. i used them for DD's nap b/c it was just so bright in her room. she didn't really start napping in her room regularly until 4 months though so there was never issue with nights/days mixed up. nighttime is definitely distinctively darker and i think they sense that.

We use them at night and when he naps. However during the week when he naps at ILs they do not have them and he still naps for them.
