Those who used sleep sacks: what did you use when DC started to roll/pull up?
I heard you are supposed to stop using them when they start to roll. DC had one accidental roll over 2 days ago while playing and he is able to get onto his side now. Not sure what to use to sleep once he can't use sleep sacks. Would a blanket still be too risky?

I've been using sleep sacks all along and DD can roll belly to back and vice versa. Never heard you couldn't.

really? i never heard that either--they make them for older children too (some with feet). are you thinking of swaddling? i think you were supposed to stop that when they roll.

DD was in a sleepsack even after she could stand in her crib. Not sure why you can't use they after they roll?

DS still wears his at 14 months. So long as its not to big, I don't see it being a hazard.

I SWITCHED to the sleep sack once DD could roll over.
She is 13 months and still in one and pulls herself up and walks all over her crib while wearing it.
Nothing risky... they make them for older children too.

Sleep sacks are perfectly safe to use when they roll.

Sleep sacks are perfectly safe once they start rolling and cruising etc. You should stop swaddling once they start rolling, but you can use sleep sacks for as long as you want (they make them in toddler sizes too).

Re: Those who used sleep sacks: what did you use when DC started to roll/pull up?
I stopped using one when he started rolling. I didn't think it was safe. The doctor told me not to put anything in the crib. DS has been sleeping with just PJs for a longer time. Once they start rolling over they are all over the crib at night. A blanket wouldn't stay on him if you wanted it too.

The purpose of a sleep sack is to take the place of a blanket. Your child wears it so I really don't understand how it could be seen as unsafe?

The sleep sack is not a blanket like a swaddle- it is an item of clothing that replaces a blanket and has slots for the arms and it zippers up and it meant to be worn over Pjs. It is used instead of blankets and is supposed to be safe and helps prevent sids b/c the child can't put it over their face. PJs alone in winter I don't think unless your home is very warm is enough.
this is a sleep sack.

Never heard of this. We use sleep sacks - they roll, pull up, crawl, cruise, and walk in them with no problems.

Hmmm maybe I got the two confused (we used to swaddle too). I don't know why I really thought this. I was looking for the ones with the feet too if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. I tried BRU in Bohemia and they didn't have it.
