Those who went through IF treatments to get PG

I just read
"risk factors that may increase your chances of having a premature baby include:
Becoming pregnant while being treated for infertility"

Have any of you heard this?
If so, did your RE or OB tell you and explain this to you?

Nope, never heard that. And of course my OB knows that I went through IVF. I'll ask him though next week at my appointment.
I have Braxton Hicks a lot so I hope that's not a sign!

I never heard of this either and my OB knows I had to see an RE to get pregnant. I've had a lot of BH too but no one has said anything about having a premature baby - except that Im measuring so far ahead I may have her a little early. I'm also already 33.5 weeks - so even if I had her know (God willing I wont...) I think she would be OK.

I'm so sorry Ann, I didn't mean to freak you out.
I just NEVER heard a mutter of this, ANYWHERE in the 32 cycles that I tried...just wanted to see if maybe its new info or if I am just oblivious.

Well....my RE has been telling me this forever. I apparantly only have 2 small things on my body...a small uterus and small viens (why couldn't I have a small azz ).

Anyway...he said because of my small uterus the chance of premature birth is certainly a factor...the risk was increased 10 fold when we thought I was going to have twins (they would run out of room quickly). So..that is why he is sending me to see a high-risk OB...which, I finally found and have an appointment next Thursday.

He is also suggesting I have a cerlage put in to help prevent premature birth as a precaution. I just googled it....

I havent heard of this either. My RE never told me, he just said that having twins increases premature births, but not due to IVF.
My OB also knows everything i went through.

I have read this yes-both twins and IVF contribute to premature birth. something to do with stress on the embryo. And my friend had her twins early whom were conceived through IVF. I think you just have to take it easy and listen to your body.She realized in retrospect that she had some clues that her body was preparing for labor but it being her 1st pregnancy did not put them all together.

Just wanted to give you guys some hugs.

Like you didn't go through enough stress just getting to this point. I will keep you all in my prayers for boring, run of the mill pregnancies.

Oh boy...now I'm a little freaked. I went through IVF and I also have a small uterus. I will make sure my OB knows about the small uterus (My RE pointed it out).

Is it just if you went thru IVF or any kind of IF protocol.
