Thoughts on dark lipstick?
Lately i've seen so many celebrities with the DARK red lipstick. Like Wicked / Lincoln Park After Dark dark
Thoughts? I actually like it but don't have the nerve to wear it myself.

If you want a way to get into the color without the intensity you can do the following:
1. Apply lip gloss and then apply the lipstick. It will give the tone, but not the intensity.
2. On bare lips, touch a clean finger to the lip stick and then using your finger to the center of your lips apply the lipstick. It will give a kissed or bitten look.
3. On bare lips, using clean hands, take some lipstick and rub it onto your hand between the thumb and forefinger. Using a clean finger from the opposite hand rub the lipstick to warm it up. Then using a lip brush apply it to your lips. I don't prefer this method but I know that others like it.
4. Apply another color - i.e. nude first and then apply the deeper color. It will reduce the intensity of the color.
I favor using the first two methods listed above. HTH

I love it! I loved it in the 90's - it looked so good on me!
I'm not so crazy about how it's applied on Selena & Meghan above because the application looks uneven... too heavy in the center of their lips & light on the outline.

I love it! I have a dark red lipstick and it looks great on me. I tone everything else down though.

I wear Rebel! I also bought Toast of New York in the last year, and I occasionally relive my high school days
There's another color that I love. Can't think of the name of the product, but it's by L'Oreal. You brush it on like a lip gloss, but it stays on all day like a lip stain, only it remains shiny like a gloss. Anyway, I like this color "Infinite Fuschia". It's dark and just so pretty.
I love these bold colors with very minimal neutral eye makeup, otherwise it just looks like too much makeup

It reminds me of high school/early college. I'm wearing dark lipstick in almost every picture from back then. I do occasionally like a red lip, but I can't see myself going back to the dark brown/cranberry color.
