Thoughts on Girl's Name
DH really likes Caroline Lily. I like it but not sure if I love it. Part of it is because I think it sounds a lot like Carol Ann which is MIL's name (she just goes by Carol though). Just looking for thoughts, suggestions, anything lol.
DD1 is Hayley Elise if that makes a difference.

It is very pretty but it does sound like your MIL name and she may think you were naming the baby in her honor. Not sure your relationship with her and it that is something you would be ok with.

I absolutely love both of those names and never thought to put them together! I think it's a beautiful name.
Your MIL may think you're naming after her, though I doubt you're going to call the baby Carol!

It's a very pretty name but I think most people will assume she's named after your mother in law. Although it's not the same name, it's very similar.
ETA: What if you reversed the names..Lily Caroline is pretty!

We get along fine but I definitely don't want her to think we named DD after her. I am big on not naming my kids after family. This is why I'm so torn!

I can kind of see the connection but I still think it's different enough to not think it's naming her after your MIL. I love the name and think you should still go for it if you do too.

When (if) we have a daughter, we will name her Lily Rose (DH's grandma and my grandma, both who have passed). I love the name Lily.

I'm partial to Lily because it's my first DD's name - she is Lily Catherine. I think Lily Caroline sounds beautiful also :)

Then I would not name her Caroline. Maybe as others posters suggested and use it as a middle name
