Throwing things

DD has been throwing things for month. Usually it's her sippy cup, but it's often other things too...whatever she can get her hands on. We started giving her time outs for it, but she's not really getting it. I thought it was a stage, but it's been a VERY long stage. Anyone else go through this? Tips to get it to STOP?

It is a stage, just be consistent with the TO's...she will eventually stop

So true though, stick with time out. I would also take the object away, that would upset DS but the next time I would say i'm going to take blank away if you throw it again and it seemed to work.

Re: Throwing things

DS had a phase for a while. So I did something VERY dramatic. I acted like he hit me, *screaming* in pain (Yes, I wanted to be an actress!!!) and he hurt me so bad. I did it with TO. Now it's just *falling* on the floor. Not flying!
