Ticket trick for Universal Studio Orlando

soooo with the anticipation of Harry Potter opening sometime this spring/summer Universal Studios Orlando changed their ticketing prices. They have stopped selling the 7-day unlimited 2 park access for $99.99. they have re-vamped their ticketing to look more like Disney's.

So I called Universal ticketing this past Friday and asked if the 7-day unlimited were still good if we had them in our possession but didn't use them yet. The guy I spoke to said yes. I asked over and over in different ways and he kept saying that the 7-day will still be good.

I then contacted AAA in Garden City and asked them if they had the 7-days available in office - they did. We went to AAA on Saturday and got three 7-day unlimited for $99.99 each !

We were going to buy 3-day 2-park passes and for the three of them it would have cost us $450 !!

Universal here we come !!

we're not staying onsite - it was just too much $$ for the few days that we're going to be there.

We are however, staying at an Extended Stay Deluxe about 1 mile from the entrance for $62 a night. There's two queen beds and a kitchen that comes with plates, glasses, silverware etc. & because of the unlimited access passes we can go back to the hotel for lunch, dinner or a nap if we want to !!
