I wonder if those tickets are real... I read somewhere that they were doing some kind of strict bracelet/ticket-pick-up system to ensure scalping wouldn't happen?

They said on the news last night that you have to have a valid ID that matches the name of who won the ticket...and the zip code has to match who won too (don't really get that part, besides for it just being a 2nd validation I guess).

That guy that put that up on E-Bay robbed someone else a FREE ticket. The rules clearly stated that you must have been randomly picked via an on-line site(FREE) then follow the instructions and appear today IN PERSON WITH A VALID PHOTO ID at the location you drew( there are 2 venues that have limited seating)
That guy should have ever entered this lottery as the instructions were clear!
He lives out of state. He really robbed someone out of a chance when he KNEW he couldn't come to California!
PS JMHO: He is a loser to go on national TV !!!!!!!!!!!! I feel He did it to get sympathy and $$ because he's unemployeed and needs money. He used his sick DD for his own benefits.

I know that there is someone out there crazy enough to pay that, but it doesn't make any sense to me. it'll be on TV for goodness sake.

The REAL tickets were free. You got them by entering your name into a specific lottery. Then another process must have been met by directions and then showing up to that location in person with YOUR OWN photo ID.
TUFF LUCK JOE JACKSON!
I still think it will be chaos as tons of people will show up in those areas and jam traffic so even legit ticket holders might not even get there!
Even tough they aren't having Jumbotrons outside the venues thousands will come anyway. I pray for everyone's safety.

The tickets for the memorial service were completely free, but people who got the free tickets are now scalping them online for thousands of dollars for their own benefit.

The tickets were sold in pairs so that opened up the door to a lot of scalping. The article I read said only the first ID had to match, that there was nothing in place to prevent the 2nd one from being sold. Although I assume the 2nd person still has to show up in LA at some point today to get their wristbadn.

If i still lived in L.A. (and had thought of it!) I would have sold the tickets on ebay. It's sickening that they are glorifying this horrible, disgusting person, so heck yes I woulds have profited from this show (not death - circus of ridiculousness).
