Time for birthday party

I don't know why I am driving myself crazy about this, but I am!

I am having my DS 1st birthday at home. He doesn't really nap at all in the afternoon but goes to bed very early.

I was thinking of having the party at 12:30 and serving food at 1:00. Do you think that is too late for kids to eat?

My other thought was to have it at 2, but then when would I serve food?

Thanks

Re: Time for birthday party

I would even say start earlier. I had Ds's bday party start at 11:30 and pizza was delivered by 12:30. It gave the kids an hour to play and snack before the food came and then after pizza they had a treasure hunt and played some more before cake.

I think that time is perfect! Most birthday parties I go to start around that time...

Re: Time for birthday party

We're having a b'day party for our 1 year old (to be) and 3 year old (to be) at 1:30 p.m. I'll be putting out snacks and hoping to eat around 2:15 p.m. I think that it's fine.

I'm sure that if the parents are concerned they will give their kids a snack before they come.

Have fun.

Re: Time for birthday party

We had a BBQ party for DS' 1st birthday.

We originally thought 2pm but invited everyone for 1pm. That way it was not too late for everyone.
