Tip the movers?
Mom and dad are moving right now. The same guys are packing them up and delivering. They are moving from AZ to LI..should they tip and when do you tip?
Then, how much?

we tipped the movers when we moved from LI to NJ.
we tipped at the end after we inspected the truck. we gave 10% of the total cost (which was split among the 3 men). i gave it to the head mover of the 3.

wow! 10%..
here's more info. There are 2 people that will actually be doing the driving across country. 3 of them are local. There will be 3 others when they arrive here to help the other two.
10% would be $400!
maybe we're cheap...

so what would you think? tip the 3 that are local and then tip the 3 new guys and the 2 driver guys when they get to LI? This can get expensive. We're talking tipping 8 guys!

Is one of them the foreman and in charge of the move? We moved recently and we just gave 10% of the move to the foreman and he split it up amoungst the crew.

We tipped our movers bc we thought they did a really great job, only tip them if they deserve it. As for how much, I'd give the guys who are travelling more than the local guys. HTH.
