Tipping at a Child's Birthday Party

Do you tip the workers at a child's birthday party? I am not against tipping but my DD's party is pretty expensive for a 2 hour party plus I have been to a party at a similar place and they had 5-6 employees involved in the party rooms.

Re: Tipping at a Child's Birthday Party

When I use to do the big parties for my oldest son I would always tip the girls at the end. I tell who ever I give the tip to that it is for all of the girls to split.

Ready...Rj's party cost me $600Chat Icon Chat Icon which IMO was pretty damn expensive for an hour and a half.

I had 3 party attendants and tipped them $10 each.

I originally planned to do $20 each, but only expected 2 attendants.

In the end they didnt do anything other than serve pizza, and cut/serve cake. I couldn't fathom dropping another $60 on that.

10-15%? BUT...we've only had parties at WK, McDonalds, Bowling and CEC, so none of them were super expensive. We did tip the puppet show people 20%, but that wasn't *my* idea and it was a little over the top for an hour of work in my home IMO.

The party starts at 450.

Then add the extra kids, pizza, and goodie bags onChat Icon

Forget about if you want to add an extra half an hour, music time or a craftChat Icon

This is what I am talking about it is $430 before extra kids and food for parents and goody bags. I mean even if I tip $10 each that is another $60 Chat Icon We were just at a party there and she had 5-6 people attending. Like I said I have no problem tipping but these parties are expensive enough.

I would pick an amount (lets say $30) and hand it to the "main" party person, and tell them to split it, or have coffee on you, something like that.
